The thatched listed 1630 cottage had a Beer stone chimney with very worn copings. Eleven years ago a flue surrounded by vermiculite and chimney pot had been added for a wood burning stove. Since then the flaunching had cracked (only visible from above) and bits of pointing were dropping from the chimney.
Four 80kg Portland stone copings were ordered, carved and fitted (Beer stone is no longer available). The flaunching and pointing of the chimney was also completed.
